Sedgemoor Telecom Selects KeySIM Fixed IP IoT SIM Cards to Enhance CCTV Remote Monitoring Reliability
We are delighted with the performance and resilience delivered by KeySIM’s Fixed IP IoT SIM solution
Sedgemoor Telecom Limited, a Somerset-based specialist in the design and installation of resilient communications infrastructure, has successfully overcome connectivity challenges affecting remotely monitored CCTV systems by deploying multi-network Fixed IP IoT SIM cards from KeySIM.
Sedgemoor Telecom designs, installs and supports robust network, data, video and voice solutions for organisations requiring premium levels of service and reliability. The company supports a range of important clients where uninterrupted remote connectivity is essential.
During a recent deployment, Sedgemoor identified an issue whereby an existing Fixed IP IoT SIM solution was unable to reliably provide remote access to Hikvision CCTV systems. This prevented alarm receiving centres (ARCs) from remotely accessing and monitoring CCTV installations, potentially impacting service continuity.
Recognising the critical importance of reliable remote access within monitored security environments, Sedgemoor Telecom undertook a detailed market evaluation and proof-of-concept testing programme to identify a more resilient fixed IP SIM Card.
Following extensive testing, Sedgemoor selected KeySIM’s multi-network Fixed IP IoT SIM card solution.
The deployment provides connectivity across all four major UK mobile networks – Vodafone, O2, EE and Three – enabling resilient remote access to Hikvision CCTV systems. In addition, the solution allows networks to be manually switched when required, providing further operational flexibility and business continuity.
KeySIM’s management team brings extensive experience from the monitored security sector, having previously deployed more than 10,000 Teltonika GH5200 lone worker devices prior to founding the company.
Joseph Foster, Managing Director of Sedgemoor Telecom, said:
“Maintaining exceptional service levels for our customers is central to everything we do. Following comprehensive evaluations and testing, we are delighted with the performance and resilience delivered by KeySIM’s Fixed IP IoT SIM solution. The deployment has enabled dependable remote access to our customers’ CCTV systems and provides the flexibility and reliability that our clients expect.”
Graham Robinson, Managing Director of KeySIM, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome Sedgemoor Telecom to the KeySIM portfolio. Joe and his team share our commitment to delivering high-quality, dependable solutions, and we look forward to supporting Sedgemoor and its customers for many years to come.”
As organisations increasingly rely on remotely monitored CCTV and connected security systems, resilient connectivity has become a critical requirement. Multi-network Fixed IP IoT SIM technology provides installers and monitoring providers with enhanced resilience, helping ensure security systems remain accessible even when network conditions change.
