Scottish enterprise appoints licence bureau as its licence checking provider
Licence Bureau has secured a contract to provide Scottish Enterprise with licence checking services to cover over 800 drivers who drive their own vehicles whilst on company business.
Scottish Enterprise identify and exploit opportunities for Scotland's economic growth by supporting Scottish companies to compete, helping to build globally competitive sectors, attracting new investment and creating a world-class business environment.
Ensuring that its health and safety obligations are effectively met is the major reason for Scottish Enterprise appointing Licence Bureau to manage this issue, so that proactive steps can be taken to mitigate its risk via its online service.
“Where drivers use their own vehicles, such as with Scottish Enterprise, it’s important to ensure not only the driver, but also the vehicle, is appropriately maintained and insured. The wide geographical spread of Scottish Enterprise’s employees makes these checks a particular challenge” explained Malcolm Maycock, Licence Bureau’s managing director.
“Scottish Enterprise is a very forward thinking organisation and understand how licence checking has a major positive impact on its overall duty of care and employee safety while driving on company business,” he added.
