Richard Osman presents new quick fire quiz Two Tribes where contestants are split into teams based on what they have in common.
Created by Remarkable Television, the 30 x 30 series will launch on BBC Daytime later this year.
Remarkable Television, an Endemol company, today announced that it has been commissioned by BBC Daytime to produce a brand new quiz show Two Tribes.
Presented by Richard Osman, Two Tribes is a fast paced quiz where what contestants have in common is just as important as their general knowledge. The 30 x 30 minute series will launch on BBC Daytime later this year.
Before each episode the seven contestants are asked hundreds of probing, funny and surprising questions all about themselves. Their answers reveal how they think, how they live, what they like and what they don't like. Round by round these questions split the contestants into Two Tribes - those who answered YES versus those who answered NO.
Then it's a general knowledge showdown as the two tribes each face 60 seconds of questions. At the end of the round, the losing tribe are on the buzzer to stay in the game. The last player to buzz in with a correct answer is eliminated. The rounds continue with new tribes created each time until just two players remain. They then go head to head to play for that day's cash prize.
Remarkable Television's James Fox says: "It's a brilliantly play-along game as you root for the tribe you belong to and answer lots of quick fire general knowledge questions. We're really looking forward to seeing Richard come out from behind the Pointless desk to front the show and get to know the contestants like never before."
The Executive Producers are James Fox and Richard Hague at Remarkable Television, an Endemol company and BBC Commissioning Editor Pam Cavannagh. The Series Producer is Eve Winstanley. The series has been commissioned by Damian Kavanagh, Controller of BBC Daytime.
