QLTS School Announces the Launch of Its New SQE Preparatory Programmes

The SQE preparation courses have been designed and developed in accordance with the SRA Specifications, are tailor-made to suit each candidate and are completely flexible in study and time requirements.

QLTS School, a global legal training provider, announces today the launch of its SQE preparation courses. The SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Examination) is the new centralised assessment of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) to qualify as solicitors in England and Wales.

For nearly a decade, QLTS School has trained thousands of individual lawyers as well as candidates from the world’s top law firms for the QLTS assessments, the model on which the SQE assessments are based. Both the QLTS and SQE include a multiple choice test and a practical legal skills examination. These assess the competence of candidates to practise at the level of a newly-qualified solicitor.

The SQE preparation courses are suitable for candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and varying levels of legal knowledge and experience in English law, including law graduates and non-law graduates (a GDL-style conversion course is not required), apprentices, paralegals, chartered legal executives, and foreign qualified lawyers.

Candidates can choose to prepare full-time or part-time so those who are already in the workplace will have the opportunity to earn as they learn. Candidates can access the course materials through our learning management system from home, office, or on the go, either on their computer, tablet or mobile device.

QLTS School’s preparation courses cover both SQE1 and SQE2. These include 18 textbooks in a hard copy format, thousands of practice questions, revision notes, 5,000+ digital flashcards, 200+ video tutorials, 100+ legal skills video workshops, 30 mock tests for SQE1, 250 mock exams for SQE2, and extensive tutor support. The course materials are accessible through an online training system which tracks the activity of the candidate and will provide personal feedback on the candidates’ progress and performance.

QLTS School will offer three course packages with different features for each stage of the SQE assessments with a price range of £1,500 – £2,400 for SQE1 and £1,500 – £2,500 for SQE2. With the exam fees set at £3,980, a candidate could therefore complete the SQE by investing less than £8,000, which is considerably less than the costs of completing the LPC route.
