Pride As 18 Redrow Site Managers Win Awards

A commitment to quality has earned a record number of Redrow site managers top industry awards.

Redrow's team of 18 winners are part of an elite group of site managers to receive Pride in the Job 'Quality' Awards from the NHBC (National House Building Council). Around 15,000 site managers undergo the judging process with just 450 winners selected.

John Tutte, Redrow's group chief executive, said: "The assessment process for the Pride in the Job Awards is rigorous and the fact that a record number of our site managers have received 'Quality' awards is evidence of the consistency of their workmanship and the Redrow product. These awards are recognition not just for the site managers themselves, but the entire construction team and demonstrate that amid strong demand and increased output standards remain high."

The Redrow site managers to secure the 'Quality' awards include a number of previous winners.

Four-times winner Vince Price, project manager at The Willows, East Leake, has added reason to celebrate.

"The award is testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone working on site," Vince said. "I'm particularly happy to have won this year as my son Ryan has been working alongside me as site assistant.

"We all take pride in our work and want to give customers the best quality homes we can. The award gives customers reassurance of that quality. You have to have passion and drive to win these awards and I hope to keep winning them."

Judging for the awards begins a year before the announcement of the first round of winners. It includes spot checks of the day-to-day running of their site, plus assessment across 38 areas of site management, including their technical knowledge, consistency in the build process, leadership and organisational skills.

Only site managers who demonstrate exceptional standards in every aspect of their work on site and in the homes they build are considered for a Pride in the Job Award.

The 'Quality' Award winners will now have to wait until the autumn to discover if they've made it into the top 130 site managers to secure the coveted 'Seal of Excellence'.
