As a business, every month, they donate 20% of their profits to an organisation chosen by their users in their charity poll. As a result, they have donated over £60,000 to over 100 different charities. The site is home to thousands of voucher codes and discounts from some of the popular retailers in the UK. Each time a user makes a purchase through the site, retailers such as Amazon, Sports Direct and Waitrose pay a small commission, which is how the monthly donation is formed. Quite simply, the more codes used, the bigger the charity donation. The organisation that benefits from the donation is decided by visitors to the site, who vote for their chosen charity. At the end of the month, the charity with the most votes wins the donation.

February’s Charity Line-Up

The first charity featuring in this month’s line-up is Devon Air Ambulance. The charity specialises in bringing specialist care to patients who need it the most via an emergency air ambulance service. Serving the county of Devon, the charity's critical care paramedics are able to provide their specialist skills when every second counts. Additionally, for times when poor weather or built-up areas prevent the aircraft from flying, Devon Air Ambulance has two critical cars which can provide the same specialist care and equipment in emergency situations. This is the second time My Favourite Voucher Codes are welcoming back Devon Air Ambulance, following on from the charity winning a donation of £149.34 in September 2019.

Second in the February line-up is Bristol based charity HorseWorld. The charity rescues and rehabilitates neglected, abandoned and cruelly treated horses. Horses are then either found a suitable new home, or fulfil a role in HorseWorld's Discovery Project, which brings together horses with young people who have complex educational, emotional, and behavioural needs. HorseWorld are another charity to be welcomed back in this month's poll, previously coming in first place back in January 2020.

LUPUS UK are the next charity featuring in February's poll line-up. This is the national charity for people affected by or seeking a diagnosis for lupus, a complicated and uncommon illness that manifests in many different ways. Awareness of the condition is very low, not only among the public, but also within the medical profession. LUPUS UK aims to support and empower people affected by the condition, ensuring that their voices are heard, and their condition is diagnosed and managed effectively. They do this through bringing people with lupus together, providing information and guidance on the condition, and signposting them to the best available care. Additionally, they raise awareness of lupus among the public to help improve understanding and reduce the stigma around the condition. LUPUS UK were previously supported by My Favourite Voucher Codes back in October 2018, winning a donation of £151.97.

Finally, completing this month's line-up is Manchester based charity, Seashell Trust, who are featuring for the first time. This is a national charity supporting children and young people who have complex and severe learning disabilities. The charity provides specialist residential and short break facilities for young people between the ages of 2 and 25, with individually tailored programmes and a safe, creative and happy environment, encouraging each individual to learn to express themselves, gain more independence, and engage with the world around them. With a team of specialist teachers, therapy staff, sports coaches and care staff, Seashell Trust's care programmes help students to build self esteem and improve confidence, ultimately encouraging every young person they support to leave safe, creative and happy lives.
