Leading cancer charity, Penny Brohn UK has opened ticket sales for its popular Afternoon Tea event just in time for Mother’s Day.
This year’s practically perfect Afternoon Tea will take place on Saturday 18 May in a beautiful marquee in the stunning gardens at Penny Brohn UK’s National Centre in Pill. The Mary Poppins themed event is the perfect way to treat your mum with a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious afternoon of tea, finger sandwiches, cake, scones and lots of fun. There will also be guest speakers and an auction to raise money for the charity.
Helen Wake, who attended last year’s Afternoon Tea with her mum and daughter said: “It was lovely to treat my mum, daughter, niece and aunty to afternoon tea at Penny Brohn UK last May as part of our year of milestone birthday celebrations. The sandwiches, savouries and cake were delicious and my mum did not stop smiling all afternoon. My daughter enjoyed her first afternoon tea and was particularly taken by the cake stands with their tempting array of goods! The marquee was beautifully decorated and we took some lovely photos of our special afternoon together.”
Emma Gilmore, Head of Community and Challenge Events at Penny Brohn UK said: “Last year we celebrated the Royal Wedding at our Afternoon Tea and it was a huge success. This year we want to make the event bigger and better and will be treating our guests to a delicious Afternoon Tea that will be practically perfect in every way. Why not treat your mum this Mother’s Day with tickets and at the same time help us raise money to support more people living with cancer to live as well as possible for as long as possible.”
