Penguins Against Cancer 10th Anniversary Ball

On the 4^th of November 2023, the charity Penguins Against Cancer (PAC) will be raising vital funds by hosting a Ball at the Landmark Hotel, London.

Pat & Charlie Gush, involved from the very start of the Charity, wanted to make the Gala Ball a celebration of the 10^th Anniversary and to take the opportunity to introduce new members to the PAC community. Pat, who is Vice-President and a Founder member, commented:

“It will be a reunion of many who were students at Guys, King’s and St. Thomas’, who now work all over the UK and beyond. Really looking forward to welcoming long standing and new supporters of PAC on the night.”

The 300 attendees marking this milestone event will enjoy a sumptuous dinner, entertainment, and an Auction of Experiences which includes, a Harrods Lunch with Champagne and jewellery to select, Wimbledon Centre Court experience, an Italian villa, a Cornish cottage, or a ski chalet for a week.

Charlie Beardmore, the Charity’s President, and a Founder member, said: “We are extremely grateful for all the efforts made by our fantastic organisers and those who have contributed to the auction, we’re looking forward to a successful and enjoyable evening.”

“The money raised at the Ball will allow PAC to continue awarding grants to those involved in cancer research, cancer treatment and hospices.”

“Penguins Against Cancer has no start-up or running costs, every penny donated goes to the fight against cancer.”

Penguins Against Cancer has now raised and disbursed £376,000 in grants to cancer research and treatment, as well as to cancer care charities, in the last 10 years.

Grants fund pioneering research to increase survival and improve treatment options, as well as raising awareness of the symptoms and effects of cancer.
