Parcel2Go backs SME plans to boost exports
News provided by Parcel2Go on Tuesday 21st Aug 2012
Online parcel delivery specialist Parcel2Go has backed moves by British companies to attempt to increase the volume of goods they export.
More than two-thirds of SMEs (71 per cent) polled by the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) said they wanted to increase export volumes over the next 18 months. British companies across a range of sectors have confirmed in recent months that they're looking at new and expanding markets in a bid to increase revenues.
Bolton-based Parcel2Go, which helps individuals and businesses to organise domestic and international shipping, believes many companies would benefit by placing a greater emphasis on exporting.
Richard Mercer, marketing director at Parcel2Go said: "We firmly believe that there are opportunities out there for British companies to expand their current customer bases. Thanks to the internet it has never been easier to reach potential clients on the other side of the world, and Parcel2Go can help them to get goods to a huge range of countries with the minimum amount of fuss.
"We're encouraging businesses across Britain to grasp the opportunity that exporting offers and investigate the possibilities today."
Parcel2Go works with a wide range of internationally-renowned courier services including FedEx, Parcel Force, CityLink and Yodel. Businesses can keep track of their parcels as they are transported across the world via an online parcel tracking facility, meaning it is simple to keep themselves up-to-date on shipments and pass information on to clients when necessary.
