Orca, an all-in-one investment app for UK residents, is currently alpha testing and set to launch its public beta version

Orca is a new investment app that will allow UK residents to invest in over 200 stocks and ETFs on the London Stock Exchange, as well as set up ISAs, with easy onboarding and informative guidance. The app’s fully functional public beta version is set to be released in early November.

Built with user’s help

Earlier this month, the Orca team began alpha testing the app. This private testing is ongoing, and potential users can request to help test the app’s capability, using a virtual pot of £1,000. The private alpha test allows the app’s users to get to grips with it, while the team can collect feedback to improve the app and ensure its quality in the long run.

Recently, Orca’s founders, CEO Denis Gulagin and CPO Fedor Panteleev, gave an interview to investment news site Benzinga. They stressed their focus on education and how the app can help new investors build their financial literacy while investing.

“We have small tooltips everywhere,” Panteleev said. “Any complicated definition will be explained to the investor.”

In addition, he highlighted that the input from users is key to how the product is being built.

“We’ll be closely paying attention to any feedback that we have from our users. That’s the main driver of product development.”

Getting ready for Public Beta

Following the successful alpha start, the Orca team plans to go public, with beta testing available for download on the App Store and Google Play. The public beta will include the full scope of features, such as First Portfolio, Collections, Orca Academy (the education feature), and quick deposit and withdrawal. The private beta testing will start in early November.

About Orca

Orca is a brand-new investment app, whose key feature is its simplicity. The app is remarkable for its clear interface, easily digestible education flow, transparent fees, and full information and news about the stocks and ETFs available. All these features help to significantly speed up the onboarding process, so people can start investing effectively, regardless of their experience.

In developing Orca, Gulagin and Panteleev have drawn on their backgrounds in running projects in Mobile Payments and Neo Banking. Many years of experience and expertise in fintech have enabled the two founders to create a radically different application which, they believe, can encourage even the most prudent of Britons to become investors in stocks and shares.
