No Name Cafe to open in Nepal to support charity projects

A new exciting venture to support a UK charity, Our Sansar, and local Nepalese coffee growers in a sustainable way - Coffee Sansar ('a world of coffee').

The new 'No Name' cafe by Coffee Sansar is opening in a month in Thamel, the centre of Kathmandu, Nepal. It will be the only cafe of its kind in Nepal - all profits will go to the charity projects supporting street children, and coffee growers with time will be made shareholders. This way the No Name cafe will benefit a large amount of people. At the same time the idea is to create the coolest place in Kathmandu where tourists, expats and locals can meet and enjoy the best organic cup of coffee and some amazing cakes and snacks. We want everyone to come back!

The cafe will also provide work experience and future employment for street children that Our Sansar is supporting at their children's home in Birgunj, southern Nepal.

The team are just getting ready to start on painting and building furniture from locally sourced materials.

Our Sansar is run entirely by volunteers (excluding the local project staff in Nepal) and all the proceeds raised elsewhere are going directly to the projects. The cafe is funded by one of the charity's supporters who cannot wait to get his hands dirty doing the painting and choosing some lovely images to decorate the premises.

The cafe still needs additional funding, £4000 ($5000), to be able to get the best coffee machines and other supplies. That's why the Kickstarter campaign has been created. Those who will support the campaign will become a part of something innovative and the first place like this in Nepal. In return for donations, there are various rewards offered (organic coffee sent to your door anywhere in the world or supply of coffee and cakes for those that come to visit the cafe in Nepal, and more).

So if you want to support an ethical business and be a part of something amazing, please click here and support Coffee Sansar!
