National Curry Week Best in Britain Awards (BIBA) 2015
The longest running awards in the ethnic restaurant industry have been announced as part of National Curry Week. The BIBA's started in 1993 and in 1998 the first winner of the Industry Personality of the Year was the late, then G. K. Noon MBE, who has tragically died after a long illness.
The awards aim to highlight excellence in the Indian restaurant sector and are not reliant purely on customer votes, as most other awards are, but on the final selection of a group of expert judges chaired by National Curry Week founder, Peter Grove.
