MYJAR opens new European office

MYJAR, one of the UK’s leading online lenders, who has operations in the UK, Jersey and Tallinn, are delighted to announce the opening of their new Tallinn office.

The office move has been a strategic plan for MYJAR for many years and is part of a wider objective of employee engagement for current members of MYJAR. The move will strengthen their work force, both current and new, and allow for larger work force demands.

Group Chief Executive Officer, Caroline Walton commented: “I believe that an office atmosphere is something that constantly needs to be alive and upbeat and at MYJAR, something was hindering us.

The growing team and need for space and resources contributed to the new office requirement. It’s important that our teams and departments thrive at everything they do and have an environment in which they can prosper.”

The move comes after a large investment in recruitment into the MYJAR team, meaning their workforce had outgrown the space they had available.

Lee Cadman, Chief Technology Officer said:

“The move is the culmination of 18 months of tireless effort to custom-build an office that suited our needs as a growing fintech company.

Almost two years ago, our IT department adopted a squad-based engineering model, each focusing on a particular subdomain of the business. To continue fostering creativity and innovation throughout the team, we looked to create a workplace that supported both autonomy and collaboration, thus allowing our employees, both within IT and other departments, to deliver their best work.”

The new 3 storey office boasts 2000 square meters, and also provides space for recreation and relaxation, including health and gym facilities. Innovative designs have been implemented throughout, there to encourage fresh, new ideas within the company.
