MPN Hub | Quarter Three 2020 Update

The MPN Hub launched on June 10, 2020, and has provided extensive virtual congress coverage and educational content during the third quarter of 2020. In July, the MPN Hub held its first virtual Steering Committee meeting, led by MPN Hub Chair Professor Jean-Jacques Kiladjian. These internationally recognized key opinion leaders in the field of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) commended the MPN Hub on a great start to providing up-to-date medical education during the coronavirus pandemic. Priority educational topics were agreed, with pathobiology of MPN, patient-related aspects, and interferon alpha added to the list. The first educational theme on the role of interferon alpha in the treatment of MPN was published on the MPN Hub.

In August, the MPN Hub talked to experts who took part in the first Texas Virtual MPN Workshop (TMW), discussing treatment options in patients with myelofibrosis and the latest news about emerging therapies. In September, the MPN Hub provided live coverage of the 2020 Annual Meeting of the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO) on social media via Twitter, published summary articles on relevant sessions on MPN, and conducted interviews with experts in MPN.

The MPN Hub is an open-access online resource dedicated to providing balanced, credible, and up-to-date medical education on MPN, and is brought to you by Scientific Education Support (SES), who strive to bring increased knowledge and awareness to healthcare professionals via collaborative networks across the globe. The MPN Hub is run in partnership with the European LeukemiaNet (ELN).
