MHM – Boxing Day Lunch for the Homeless, Isolated, Lonely and Vulnerable

For most, the festive season is a time to celebrate with family and friends but for others it can be a difficult and lonely time of year.

MHM are delighted to announce that due to the success of last years' event we will be once again, supported by the Soroptimist Society, hosting a free Boxing Day lunch for the homeless, isolated, lonely and vulnerable at the Oasis Café in Newcastle on Friday 26th December 2014.

Last year we were able to serve delicious three course hot meals and hand out goody bags to more than 90 people who otherwise would have spent their Christmas alone. Our aim is to help even more individuals to have a memorable Christmas in 2014.

If you or somebody you know are homeless, isolated, lonely or vulnerable and would benefit from some company and a free hot meal, please contact Tony Duffy or Paul Gorringe at the Oasis Café. Tickets are available from Thursday 11th December by telephone on 0191 273 1659, or call in to the Oasis Café up until Christmas Eve.

Tickets must be collected from, Oasis Cafe, Cruddas Park Shopping Centre, Westmorland Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7RW.

The event is ticket only and the available times are 11:30am and 13:30pm. Tickets need to be collected from the Oasis Café. Only a name is required to reserve a space at one of the events.

Donations

If possible we would also like to provide those attending the event with some 'essentials' to take away when they leave.
