Meridian and TechWorks sign agreement to work together to accelerate development and commercialisation of connected and autonomous vehicles in the UK
A multi-year Memorandum Of Understanding signed between Meridian and TechWorks, the UK’s industry association for the deep tech community, will promote collaboration on critical and valuable areas in the development of connected and autonomous vehicles. This will accelerate the UK’s realisation of the social and economic benefits of this mobility revolution. Initially the areas include safety, digital resilience, cyber security, communications and ADAS but is intended to expand to cover priorities as they emerge.
“Our relationship with TechWorks through its electronics innovation community, AESIN, began a year ago when Meridian was formed and looked to the UK’s leading minds and businesses who were actively working on bringing safe, connected and self-driving vehicles to our roads and to develop technologies and services to grow the UK industry. This MOU is a recognition of the excellent leadership, technical strength and commercial readiness of TechWorks and its members and will quickly begin to deliver globally competitive outcomes.” Daniel Ruiz CEO, Meridian
“The MOU between Meridian and AESIN is a strategic landmark that will enable the accelerated delivery of CAV enabling Technology building on the UK strength in Connectivity, Security and Autonomous enabling systems. We look forward to bringing our strong Automotive Electronics Innovation Community into this exciting collaborative partnership with Meridian helping deliver common goals set out by the Government Sector Deal, CCAV and consensus roadmaps of the Automotive Council UK.” Alan Banks AESIN Chairman, TechWorks
