Magora’s Guide to Parking for Free

What is the biggest issue for drivers in cities today? Any drivers out there know the answer: parking, and of course, because drivers spend so much of their time looking for it. But those days may be over, because the latest mobile app from Magora is now out and already helping desperate drivers by scanning the vicinity and showing them the closest free parking around. It’s incredibly easy to use: all you need is a smartphone and a car to park.

Several European businessmen brought us this great idea, which they wanted to see embodied in a fully functional, rapid mobile app. They knew we would find a way towards convenient parking that could include the automatic search and navigation features they had envisioned.

Every project is a new test for us. The challenge this time for Magora’s developers was understanding how to create a mobile app that would be useful not just for professional drivers, but anyone looking to save time and energy. Enthusiasm for the project remained, even when several technical obstacles arose. For example, our programmers had decided the app should run on its own navigation system before switching to Google Maps at the client’s request.The final product is a high-quality and highly functional mobile app available for Android and iOS devices.

Parking Guide is exceptional in both its pleasant design and its diverse features. Users can run the app from any point in their journey, at which point the parking helper searches for free lots within a predetermined radius of the final destination. Once a suitable place is found, a pin appears on the map and the app leads the driver there. Magora’s mobile app also has an alert system that signals when:

• Parking Guide finds a free space
• The driver reaches their destination
• It’s time to turn

If the parking space the driver is headed towards is taken before they arrive, the app’s search restarts and sets the pin in the next best place it finds nearby. On the other hand, if the app suggests a space, but the driver doesn’t make a move towards it, the application will reallocate that spot to another user looking for a space nearby, making sure drivers are always finding spaces as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Finding a Car

While, the mobile app doesn’t monitor parking in private areas (paid parking, petrol stations, malls), there are many other things users can do, such as:

• Set up permanent, personalised parking spaces at work or at home
• Add bookmarks
• Plot and print routes
• Refresh searches
• Choose a new route and restart searching
