Learning Wall offers teachers a customisable desktop with educational apps

Lancashire based school-website design company Schudio are bringing the latest e-learning news and tools to teachers with the launch of their new Learning Wall, a customisable educational app interface for computers and mobile devices.
Schudio is currently offering the basic non-customisable version of this vibrant navigational tool and resource-finder free of charge to schools, which still comes as standard with popular online tools such as Padlet, Edmodo, Class Dojo and more.
Director Ian Richardson said: "The Learning Wall is very special to me and Nicole (MD), as we created the first one for our kids' school. We often visit schools that are in need of a little help to find the best online apps that are free and easy to use.
“They want something that will help them exceed their obligations to integrate ICT effectively in their classrooms without a load of extra work. We think the Learning Wall meets that need perfectly."
Lytham St. Annes Technology College has recently implemented their Learning Wall after undergoing an extensive redesign of its website by Schudio as part of a wider program to become more innovative by improving accessibility to new educational resources and encouraging staff to work together.
In addition to providing inspiration to teachers as soon as they log on, the school wanted each teacher to have quick and direct access to online resources. This also encouraged more staff to engage with the variety of edtech tools available.
Assistant Head Sara Cardno praised Schudio's work: "I knew when I had the vision of creating the Learning Wall that Ian and his team would do an excellent job. Now it has been launched to the staff who are all using it and find it the most flexible and easy-to-use resource. T&L is so vibrant in our school and developing quickly! Our internal resourcing area is also thriving, so I highly recommend it!"
Larger schools may find it difficult to provide a platform where teachers can share their best ideas for teaching as each has their own style and method. The Learning Wall has a section where they can share resources for training, plenaries and links to useful web sites, creating a more collaborative working environment.
As the only company to provide this type of product, the Schudio team aim to deliver the highest service, and their ongoing software development will ensure that the number of apps available to choose from will keep growing.
