Following the successful Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) World Awareness Day (WAD) in 2019, Know AML is pleased to mark AML WAD again in 2020.
AML WAD will take place on April 21, 2020, with the aim of increasing levels of knowledge in AML within the global community through collaborative participation. Know AML are proud to lead the campaign to raise awareness of AML through a series of coordinated activities — Wear it, Badge it, and Share it.
Know AML would like to encourage everyone to get involved, either via social media or through offline activities. We would like you to wear red and black and share a photo; use our digital banners to badge your social media profiles; wear a Know AML pin badge and share a photo; and share our graphics and factsheets — available in multiple languages! To learn more about how to get involved, please visit http://www.know-aml.com/en/get-involved/world-awareness-day.

About Know AML
Know AML is the first global AML initiative that aims to direct patients, carers, families, and healthcare professionals to the available information, resources, and support they need to deal with AML. “To be able to contribute to the Know AML initiative is very important to me because, as a patient diagnosed with this leukaemia, I know how difficult it can be to find the right support and information when it really matters… I am proud to be an ambassador for Know AML because they understand what is needed and how to achieve it.” Anna Mamwell, AML Patient
To drive awareness of AML globally through community collaborations, while continuing to raise awareness of the resources and support currently available.
