Just Two Actresses Included in Forbes' Highest Paid Celebrities Of 2020 Reports Bambridge Accountants New York

While Kylie Jenner has been reported as the highest-paid celebrity of 2020, there are only two actresses on the list reports the Enrolled Agents and accountants Bambridge Accountants New York.

The Forbes annual list of the 100 highest-paid celebrities includes only 5 women in the top 40 earners (only 20 in the whole list).

There are 12 Hollywood actors and actresses included on the list:

· The actors and actresses earned a combined $624 million in 2020

· The 10 actors include Dwayne Johnson ($87.5m), Ryan Reynolds ($71.5m), Mark Wahlberg ($58m), Ben Affleck ($55m), Vin Diesel ($54m), Akshay Kumar ($48.5m), Lin-Manuel Miranda ($45.5m), Will Smith ($44.5m), Adam Sandler ($41m), Jackie Chan ($40m) - a total of $545.5m

· The 2 actresses include Sofia Vergara ($43m), Angelina Jolie ($35.5m) - a total of $78.5m

While the total earnings for the 100 celebrities on the list were $6.1 billion for 2020, there has been a decline (of $200m) for the first time since 2016.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator and star of Hamilton, is a newcomer to the list after he sold the rights to his Founding Father musical to Walt Disney.

Sofia Vergara, 71st on the list, is listed as the world's highest paid actress. Her earnings include Modern Family, America's Got Talent and her line of jeans at Walmart.

Angelina Jolie, 99th on the list, is the world's second highest paid actress. Her earnings coming from roles in Marvel's Eternals and the movies Come Away and The One and Only Ivan.

Additional tax support for actors

The Performing Artist Tax Parity Act has been introduced to help actors claim expenses against their business income. The unions SAG-AFTRA and Actors' Equity are urging Congress to pass the act and allow actors much needed tax relief.
