J Foster Consulting Ltd delivers training on the new BRC Global Standards

J Foster Consulting Ltd has delivered the first public training course for the British Retail Consortium following the latest BRC Global Standard for Food, Issue 7, which was published on 7th January 2015.

The new BRC Global Standard, issue 7 covers a multitude of topics including food safety, logistics and supply chain. This latest update also focuses on food security, which is a brand new standard introduced this year, to ensure the robust chain of custody in supply chain management.

An experienced BRC Approved Training Provider, Josie Foster has over 30 years expertise in the management and training of BRC standards, and is one of just eight BRC approved consultants globally.

Issue 7 comes into force on 1st July 2015, and means that all food manufacturers, food storage, distribution businesses and food agents / brokers will be affected. The standard places a responsibility on business owners to fully manage and understand every stage in the supply chain process, from food source to manufacturing plant and then onto warehouse and distribution centres.
