An award-winning, versatile actor of stage, TV and film - best known for Game Of Thrones, Misfits, Vicious, Wild Bill, Spring Awakening and BBC1's recent primetime drama Our Girl - Iwan Rheon is also a talented singer/songwriter who releases his debut album Dinard, on 20th April 2015.

Following a series of well-received EPs - Tongue Tied, Changing Times, and Bang! Bang! – Iwan recorded Dinard at Ty Cerdd in Cardiff's Millennium Centre and London's infamous RAK Studios with Jim Unwin and James Clarke. A natural progression from his previously stripped-down production approach, Dinard is reminiscent of mid-7'0s Dylan with a voice as raw and soulful as Bon Iver. Iwan's attuned choice of musicians and instruments reflects his eclectic music style and tastes and demonstrates his skills as multi-instrumentalist, composer and lyricist.

Highlights of Dinard include the dramatic, epic piano-led Top Of The Road, andFeel It Coming, which builds beautifully throughout and culminates with some beguiling echoed vocals. Title track Dinard is a driving, emotive slice of folk rock, while Magic Seeds has a Beatles-y lilt and a jaunty piano that brings to mind a particularly Welsh kind of psychedelia, following on from Gruff Rhys and Gorky's Zygotic Mynci. Not to mention Rhodd, which Iwan breathtakingly delivers in his native Welsh.

"It was great to get to work in a unpressurised creative environment," says Iwan. "I was able to make the music that I wanted the way I wanted, with two great guys and fantastic musicians including my brother Aled who sings backing on Feel It Coming and shares the lead on Rhodd. Music has always been my passion and it's been my dream to make an album. I'm so pleased it's finally come to fruition. Now I just need to start writing the next one!"

Growing up in Cardiff, Iwan Rheon was consumed by rock 'n' roll's mid-'90s uprising: his first gig was Pulp, aged 10 and he was soon captivated by Radiohead, Oasis, Blur, Nirvana, Prodigy and the bands-who-broke-out from Wales, Super Furry Animals and the Manic Street Preachers. A singer-songwriter and guitarist by aged 14, he was also a gifted actor who won a place the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He fronted soul rock band The Convictions until given the role of Moritz in the Tony Award-winning rock musical Spring Awakening, which won him the 2010 Olivier Award for Best Supporting Performance In A Musical (ahead of Sheila Hancock, Maureen Lipman and Kelly Price).

Iwan's breakthrough TV role was in Channel 4's hit Misfits, and his TV and film CV is now stellar. In 2013 he joined the cast of HBO's American TV colossus Game Of Thrones as Ramsay Snow, better known as the thrillingly-titled 'Bastard Of Bolton'. His most recent TV role was in BBC1's drama series Our Girl, which aired last autumn and he has just finished filming series 2 of Vicious with Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Derek Jacobi.
