Institute of Business Ethics welcomes David Jackson to its Advisory Council

News provided by Institute of Business Ethics on Friday 10th May 2019

The Institute of Business Ethics is honoured to announce that David Jackson has agreed to join its Advisory Council.

David Jackson has been a lawyer working in industry for over 30 years and has recently stood down as the Company Secretary at BP plc.

The IBE’s Advisory Council represents the wider audience which the IBE wishes to address. They meet bi-annually to offer support and guidance to the Institute on its work programme and strategy.

Tim Melville-Ross, IBE’s President, said: “As business continues to grapple with the ethical challenges of climate change, artificial intelligence and political uncertainty, the work of the IBE continues to be critical.

“The Advisory Council maintains the valuable role of the IBE’s founders in supporting the IBE’s thought leadership and programme of raising public awareness of business ethics. David Jackson’s practical experience of ethics at the coal face of business will make a valuable contribution to our discussions.”

David Jackson said:“ I have admired the work of the IBE for many years. The IBE has made a major contribution to helping business understand and address ethical challenges. I am honoured to be asked to join its Advisory Council. Business continues to face many challenges and I look forward to helping the IBE in its work.”
