Inspiresport Announce New Partnership with Cardiff Ski Centre

Inspiresport, the Cardiff-based school tour operator sign a multi-year deal to sponsor the Cardiff Ski Centre which includes funding the first sit-ski in Cardiff.

Inspiresport, the school sport operator headquartered in Cardiff has signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the Cardiff Ski Centre. Part of the funding agreement will include the purchase of the ski centre's first ever sit ski which will be available for use from mid-February.

The sit ski, designed and made in the USA, allows physically impaired skiers to have full access to ski facilities.

Richard Hughes, Manager at the Cardiff Ski Centre, said: “We launched our adaptive ski programme in 2015. We regularly receive calls asking if we have facilities for people with physical disabilities but until now we have not been able to fulfil these requests.

“From February we will be launching a programme for people with mobility restrictions accompanied by lessons with fully qualified instructors. As a capital city we felt this was an important requirement and we are delighted that inspiresport have allowed us to now offer this service.

“We are grateful for their support and investment and delighted to partner a company that does so much to encourage participation in sport for kids.”

Inspiresport launched their ski programme Inspireski in 2015, offering schools ski trips to the USA, Canada, Italy and Andorra.
