ICON TRAINING Win Large Training Provider of the Year

ICON TRAINING were thrilled to be awarded the title of 'Large Training Provider of the Year' for the second year running at the Active Training Awards ceremony last night.

The event was held by ukactive and CIMSPA, and sponsored by Active IQ, and was attended by over 150 training providers, learners and employers to celebrate exceptional performance and commitment in vocational training and development within the physical activity sector. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all last night's winners.

Building on success from last year, we set out objectives which would ensure we could continue to provide inspirational and learner-focused development within the Sport and Physical Activity sector; this included workforce development, partnerships in line with the Government Trailblazer, and working closely with industry partners.

We pride ourselves on the quality of the design and delivery of our programmes to ensure that our learners and employers are getting the best possible training, tailored to their needs; innovation has been top of our list this year with the introduction of our new Level 4 Leisure Management Certificate. Several partners attended last night to show their support including Circadian Trust, Parkwood and GLL, who were also winners last night of 'Employer of the Year'. Lorraine Patrinos, GLL Associate Director and Head of Learning and Development said "We chose ICON TRAINING as a partner because of the cultural fit, they really understood what we are about, our vision and what we are trying to achieve".

It is fantastic to be recognised for our contribution and commitment to the sector. Going forward we aim to continue to improve workforce development and raise standards in the sector as well as continuing to provide high quality, relevant and bespoke training.
