Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza Announces New Weekly Event: 'Children of the 80s'

Sundays at Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will be dedicated to eighties music throughout the 2015 summer season

Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza is set to reform Sunday nights on the party island for the 2015 summer season with a brand new weekly event, 'Children of the 80s'. Launching on 28th June for 12 weeks, the eighties revival party will feature four different acts each week, alongside Hard Rock's new DJ trio, Dream Team Reload, who will all perform on the hotel's emblematic outdoor stage.

Every Sunday between 7pm and midnight, party-goers will be treated to an electrifying musical experience at the hotel's open-air events area, which will be transformed into a 1980s disco reminiscent of a time when music defined everything. Bands and artists from the eighties and early nineties are confirmed for the summer-long event with Boney M, Corona, Alexia and Robin S launching the first party, while Paul Young, Whigfield, Soul II Soul, Vengaboys, Bonnie Tyler and Bananarama, will also perform across the season.

In between the acts, Dream Team Reload will send the crowds on a nostalgic musical journey each week with audio-visual performances featuring hits from the 80s and 90s. Formed in 1995, the DJ trio is made up of Spain's most popular DJs and producers from the eighties, Toni Peret, Jose Maria Castells and Quique Tejada, who between them have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide.

Now into its second year, the first Hard Rock Hotel in Europe opened on the White Isle in May 2014 and won much acclaim in its debut season for its musical diversity with performances from headline artists including Kylie Minogue, Jason Derulo, Ellie Goulding and Snoop Dogg, as well as eighties legends UB40, Nile Rogers featuring Chic, and Neneh Cherry. The hotel quickly established itself as a leading outdoor music venue to complement its neighbouring electronic and house music clubs on Playa d'en Bossa with its festival-like atmosphere, world-class pyrotechnics and explosive visual performance.

'Children of the 80s' will help Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza widen the boundaries of Ibiza as a haven for music lovers for another year and is set to define summer 2015 on the island.
