Haag-Streit UK appoints a new Apprentice Engineer

Harlow, UK – 1^st November 2022 - Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard diagnostic and surgical devices and instruments for ophthalmologists, optometrists, and orthoptists, is pleased to announce the appointment of Reade Shaw in the role of Apprentice Engineer.

During his time with HS-UK, Reade will gain a practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, including learning how to repair and service Haag-Streit UK equipment. He will expand his knowledge of technical drawings and how to create engineering reporting, along with many other tasks which will enable him to adhere to, and fulfil, the requirements of the apprenticeship structure and programme.

Reade will be working for both HS-UK and sister company Clement Clarke International. Before joining Haag-Streit UK, Reade completed a BTEC in construction at Harlow College which gave him a fantastic foundation of knowledge for this apprenticeship.

Haag-Streit UK feel it is very important to invest in their staff. One of the company’s key objectives is to continually maintain, review and improve the skills and knowledge of employees.
