Haag-Streit UK announce the launch of SOLIX FullRange OCT in the UK

Harlow, UK – 28^th February 2020 - Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, is pleased to announce the launch of the SOLIX FullRange OCT in the UK.

SOLIX is a new technology, built upon a proven foundation of high-speed Spectral Domain OCT. The FullRange platform empowers practitioners to identify and manage numerous pathologies, from the front of the eye to the back, for a vastly superior diagnostic experience. The system features ultra-high-speed scanning for a FullRange field of view that is wide and deep, yet does not sacrifice image clarity and resolution.

The SOLIX delivers multiple tools for a new generation of disease management that improves throughput and enables superior patient care. It offers a full range of clinical applications, including; anterior & posterior OCT, OCT angiography, fundus photography, external colour photography and evaluation of the Meibomian glands of the upper and lower lids.

The FullRange anterior segment imaging provides stunning views of the entire anterior chamber, in a single scan, and ocular structures can be measured with caliper tools. Epithelial, stromal and total corneal thickness can be quantified with the 10mm Corneal Layer Map, which features 16 meridians to fully cover the LRS transition zone. These measurements can facilitate diagnosis.

External IR imaging enables evaluation of the Meibomian gland structure of the upper and lower lids. This means new information can be added to the diagnosis and management of dry eye patients, without the need for a dedicated imaging system.

Full range retinal imaging delivers pristine images of retinal structures, allowing confident diagnosis and management of retinal pathologies, even in highly myopic patients.

The glaucoma package delivers in-depth analysis of the optic nerve head structure and vasculature, aiding decision-making in diagnosis, even in advanced cases.

The SOLIX device also features Optovue’s industry-leading AngioVue OCT Angiography (OCTA) capabilities for non-invasive 3D visualisation and quantification of retinal vasculature, as well as both fundus and external colour photography.
