Haag-Streit Diagnostics announces the winners of the ‘2020 Slit Lamp Imaging Competition’

Harlow, UK – 16th October 2020 – Haag-Streit is delighted to announce the winners of the ‘2020 Slit Lamp Imaging Competition’.

The competition was a great success, receiving almost 300 entries. The judges selected 12 finalists, who delivered outstanding images. HS-UK is delighted that both first and second place winners came from UK hospitals.

Following a great deal of deliberation, the judges announced that the winner was Mel Yeneralski, Ophthalmic Photographer, Cambridge University Hospitals. Her superb image (see main image) was taken of silicone oil bubbles.

John McCormick, Medical Photographer at the Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology, Gartnavel General Hospital, received the prize for second place for his fantastic image of corneal endothelial pigment downgrowth. In third place, Eva Steffan will receive her prize for an image of a vitreous prolapse.

Haag-Streit Diagnostics also announced the 9 runners up; Carmen Rodrigues, Katie Lachut, Kim Baxter, Nicole Mantel-Baerlocher, Dr. Pablo Gili, Pia Lohri, Utpal Sarkar, Yajie Zheng and Zhang Yang.
