Haag-Streit announces new and updated EyeSuite i9.3.1 software

Harlow, UK – 12th December 2019 - Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, is pleased to announce the release of EyeSuite i9.3.1 software from Haag-Streit Diagnostics.

The new software features all the functionality of previous versions of EyeSuite but it has been dramatically improved. Enhancements have been made to the stability of the software for both perimetry and biometry which enhance usability and improve workflow.

EyeSuite Perimetry has been improved with a number of new features and many performance improvements. The software now features a kinetic free vector which allows you to manually guide the stimulus, offering similarities to the Goldmann perimeter. This upgrade allows the user to have complete control over the direction, velocity and location of the stimulus.

The software now features a static underlay for kinetic testing. This allows the clinician to use a previously taken static test to provide guidance on how to best place vectors. During kinetic testing, finding isolated scotomas can be time-consuming. The static underlay facility assists in the accurate and appropriate mapping of visual defects during kinetic testing.

The latest upgrade in the software has incorporated a 24-2C test pattern, which contains more measurement points in the central field of view. A 24-2C pattern increases the user’s ability to map the patient’s central visual field, over time.

There has also been improvements to biometry and IOL software, including IOL calculation enhancements for patients with long axial length. The inclusion of Barrett True K Toric IOL calculation method will aid patients with residual corneal astigmatism following refractive surgery. The integration of the Lens Design Factor completes the Barrett suite in EyeSuite and will improve IOL calculation in extremely long eyes that require lower power IOLs.
