Haag-Streit Academy launches FREE Octopus perimetry e-learning course

Harlow, UK – 8th October 2020 – The Haag-Streit Academy is delighted to launch a FREE ‘Octopus Perimetry E-learning Course’. This is the latest in a series of Haag-Streit Academy e-learning courses which have been made available for customers completely free of charge, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The course can be accessed by users through the Haag-Streit Academy E-learning Portal at https://hsuk.co/elearningperimetry and follows the popular ‘LENSTAR biometry’ and ‘Slit Lamp’ courses which are already available on the e-learning platform.

The online training provides users with a host of different material to ensure they get the most out of their Haag-Streit Octopus perimeter. The course features interactive modules, PDF user guides, instructional videos and lectures.

The interactive modules focus on the practicalities of effective visual field analysis using the Octopus 900 or Octopus 600 perimeter. The series consists of 13 interactive modules, which are based on the latest edition of the ‘Visual Field Digest; A comprehensive guide to perimetry and the Octopus perimeter (8^th Edition)’. Written by six experts in the field, the Digest explains core concepts and provides details about the Octopus visual field machine.

The course also features short perimetry user guides, which provide information about using the EyeSuite i8 software platform. The guides, which are provided as PDFs or short ‘how to’ videos provide information for different Octopus 900 user levels, and there is a separate series covering the Octopus 600.
