GCSE RESULTS FOR HAMPSHIRE COLLEGIATE SCHOOL
~ 35% of GCSEs achieve A* or A~
Pupils and staff at Hampshire Collegiate School (HCS) are celebrating today after receiving the school's GCSE results, with 13% of grades being awarded at A* level.
An impressive 90% of pupils gained five or more A*-C GCSEs and 60% of all grades awarded were at A*-B.
Emma-Kate Henry, Principal of Hampshire Collegiate School, said:
"I am very pleased with these GCSEs results. They reflect a great deal of hard work on the part of the pupils and staff. We are all very proud that 35% of all grades are A or A*. This is particularly impressive for a School that is not narrowly academically selective. Our goal is to instil academic ambition and for every young person to perform up to or beyond their potential. We analyse baseline data and use this to set ambitious targets for our pupils. We are delighted that this happened in a great many exams and subjects within the headline GCSE results. We congratulate all of our pupils and take great interest in the next steps in their education.
We are looking forward to maintaining and building on our excellent standards and striving to provide the very best Sixth Form experience for our young men and women in order to prepare them for an ever changing world. We have newly refurbished facilities and have implemented a very robust programme of individual pastoral and tutorial support designed to assist that".
