GEMMA TAKES ON ROLE OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FOR EXPANDING TRANSLINE RESOURCE GROUP
News provided by Transline Resource Group on Tuesday 4th Dec 2012
Manchester-based Gemma Ross has been appointed in a national role to strengthen the top management of a leading UK industrial and driving recruitment agency.
Gemma is the Business Development Manager for the Transline Resource Group (TRG) – taking charge of strategy, legislation, corporate accounts and new business opportunities.
Named ‘Most Outstanding Outsourced Recruitment Organisation 2012’ in its industry’s annual awards, TRG achieved record sales of £54m in 2011 and is predicting growth of up to £65m this year.
Set up by Managing Directors Paul Beasley and Jon Taylor, it started from a single office in Halifax, Yorkshire, in 1998 and now operates a 57 site UK-wide network as well as having operations in Ireland, Eastern Europe and, very recently, Canada.
From an office in Trafford Park, Manchester, Gemma reports direct to the managing directors on issues involving driver management, professional competence training, key performance indicators, legislation and data interpretation.
“My role mainly involves improving client relationships at senior and strategically levels,” she says, “and this means securing existing contracts as well as attracting new business opportunities.
“Transline is a fast-growing and award-winning recruiter with a track record of achievement for some of Britain’s largest retail and logistics organisations. But it’s also great fun to work with a team of committed and dedicated people who create such a dynamic atmosphere.
“Transline Resource has rapidly established a name for innovation and to have the satisfaction of bringing new ideas to their table, then seeing them successfully implemented, means I can make a real contribution to that market-leading reputation.”
Gemma, formerly a senior account manager with ‘de Poel Consulting’ brings previous experience of director level relationships, national strategic management and implementation.
She was born and bred in Congleton, Cheshire, where she still lives, was educated at All Hallows Catholic High School in Macclesfield, and completed a Business Studies degree course at Edge Hill University.
Gemma is a keen horse rider, has owned her own horses for the last 20 years, and has competed in local competitions.
“TRG is a vibrant company that needs experienced people,” says Managing Director, Jon Taylor. “We are fortunate to have worked with Gemma during her previous post and are glad to now have her skills on our team.
“Like many other of our senior appointments she has recognised us as a company that innovates, finds solutions, gets things done – and exceeds client expectations. That’s what we believe in and Gemma’s talent is already proving a great asset to our operation."
