FS Tax Conference 2022: Taxation in Times of Crisis

London, 5 October 2022 - Hansuke Consulting Limited (Hansuke) announces over 25 leading tax thinkers and practitioners for its 4th annual Financial Services Tax Conference 2022 (FSTC22) under the theme of ‘Taxation in Times of Crisis’ as financial institutions face unprecedented challenges within the current, uncertain macroeconomic climate.

Leading speakers will include Richard S. Collier, former OECD Senior Tax Adviser currently at The University of Oxford; Prem Sikka, Member of the UK House of Lords; and Helen Whiteman, CEO of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT). They will be joined by speakers from HM Revenue & Customs, the German Federal Ministry of Finance and academics, policy makers and private sector firms such as M&G Plc and Capital Group.

FSTC22 is being hosted by Hansuke Consulting in partnership with WTS Global and supported by Software Daten Service Gesellschaft m.b.H. (SDS). Together, FSTC22 calls on members of the financial services tax community to attend and debate the most urgent issues facing them under the theme of ‘Taxation in Times of Crisis’. FSTC22 will comprise of online webinars from 10 to 13 October 2022, followed by an in-person networking drinks event on the evening of 13 October, and culminating in a day-long conference on 14 October at the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW). The event will also be live streamed online.

FSTC22 is a free public conference where representatives of financial institutions, government institutions, academia and civil society can come together to discuss topical issues, including regulating taxes internationally, tax systems, tax ethics, tax transparency, financial transactional taxes, the digitation of the withholding tax process and much more. It will bring together diverse tax leaders, including Dr Kunka Petkova, Expert in International Business Taxation at the German Federal Ministry of Finance; George LittleJohn, Senior Adviser at the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI); and Simon York CBE, the Director of the Fraud Investigation Service at HM Revenue & Customs.
