Deutsche Börse gives issuers a practical guide
Deutsche Börse today presented a best practice guide with recommendations on comprehensive capital market communication in the area of sustainability.
Non-financial aspects such as environmental and social information and elements of corporate governance constitute a considerable proportion of company value.
The best practice guide serves as a voluntary aide to issuers in producing their sustainability reports. It aims to encourage companies to make use of
sustainability issues in capital market communication in a targeted way.
Deutsche Börse produced the best practice guide in partnership with issuer and investor representatives from the Issuer Markets Advisory Committee - Deutsche Börse's advisory body on capital market topics - as well as the German Funds Association (BVI), Deutsches Aktieninstitut (DAI), the German Investor Relations Association (DIRK) and the Society of Investment Professionals in
Germany (DVFA), along with issuers and investors.
"Sustainability and transparency play an important role today in company valuations and are a decisive factor in investment decisions. Deutsche Börse Group is the first world leading capital market organisation to assume responsibility for corporate sustainability reporting. As part of our improved capital market communication we are therefore providing an orientation guide and showing how companies can report on sustainability issues using simple techniques," said Dr Martin Reck, Cash Market Managing Director at Deutsche
