DARYL PILE TO DEPART GAMMA AND TAKE UP CEO ROLE AT SCG
“To have secured someone of Daryl’s experience, credibility and standing in the comms industry is fantastic for SCG."
SCG (Southern Communications Group) has announced that Daryl Pile, the outgoing Managing Director of Channel at Gamma, is to join the company as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Paul Bradford, who has been SCG’s CEO since 2002 following a management buyout, will move to the position of Executive Chairman.
“To have secured someone of Daryl’s experience, credibility and standing in the comms industry is fantastic for SCG,” said Bradford.
“I look forward to working closely with Daryl as he moves into the role of Group CEO. His energy and drive are exactly what SCG requires as we continue to take the business to the next level.”
“Whilst I will still be very engaged within the business, Daryl’s appointment will enable me to move to a more acutely strategic role of Executive Chairman, focusing on exciting new product innovations and key future acquisitions,” he added.
Pile commented: "It's an honour to join one of the most respected businesses in our industry. Led by an outstanding management team and an accelerating growth trajectory, it is a truly exciting opportunity that doesn't come around often. To our customers, colleagues, stakeholders, and partners, thank you for your continued support. I cannot wait to get started and drive the next phase in the SCG journey.”
Pile has played a vital role in the evolution of the UK Wholesale Channel community during his 21 years with Gamma. He has held several senior roles covering Wholesale, Dealer and Public Sector business units during his career to date.
