Clip Studio Paint Ver. 2.0 Release in March 2023 with realistic brush blending & 3D tools to help draw faces and hands

TOKYO, October 13, 2022 — Digital drawing app Clip Studio Paint Version 2.0 is slated for release in March 2023, after ten years of updates on Version 1. The new version will include innovative features for creators such as an adjustable 3D head model, a hand pose scanner for 3D models, and more realistic brush blending, along with many other improvements to features.

Clip Studio Paint Version 2.0 will also be released in four new languages (simplified Chinese*, Portuguese, Thai, and Indonesian) to better support artists around the world. The app will see new features such as Align & Distribute tools, better handling of text, and even more realistic color mixing.

Version 2.0 will be available to new users as a one-time payment (perpetual) license, or as a monthly plan that will include early access to new features that will be included in future versions. There will also be a discounted upgrade for existing users, as well as a new Update Pass that gives desktop users access to the latest features without waiting for the next full version. Those who have bought the one-time purchase version of Clip Studio Paint this year can even get a free upgrade to Version 2.0 next year. Current users of monthly plans can continue to use the app with the latest features without any changes.
