July 2nd 2020 – Clean Planet Energy, a UK group focused on removing non-recyclable waste plastic from the environment and turning it into ultra-clean fuel, have today announced that they have commissioned a second series of their popular short nature documentary ‘Nature, #LetItThrive’.

The 1st season, now released for free on their website (http://LetItThrive.org), and also via YouTube, focused on the impact humans had on the natural environment at a macro level. Using specialised camera lenses, the series took viewers on a journey as to how insects (and similar sized species) were impacted by the changing climates and plastic pollution, and their significant importance, both for nature and also for our daily lives.

“The pandemic has seen our way of life undergo both unprecedented and tragic events, it is something we must all work together to overcome. Likewise, the negative impact that our daily lives have on the planet needs to be addressed, the clock is about to strike 12”, says Bertie Stephens, CEO of Clean Planet Energy.

“There are some incredible educators and scientists we must learn from regarding this topic, and the #LetItThrive series is a bite-size nature documentary built to support this important narrative, in a format that’s easily digestible on your phone”, Stephens continued.

With the announcement today, Clean Planet Energy have released a trailer for the upcoming series, to be released in May 2021, and being shot throughout the next 12 months. The new series will take viewers on a journey of new perspectives, ranging from aerial shots that focus on the impact of deforestation, through to a microscopic insight into the building blocks of nature.

Clean Planet Energy are in the process of setting up a foundation where they hope the next series will sit under, in addition to other projects that will support the regeneration of the planet, without needing to generate revenue. One example of a project CPE are working on for educational purposes only is their recent competition, where 40,000 families participated to be the voices in an animation called “Clean Our Planet: Energy of Change” – this winners of which were announced last month.
