Civica acquires Web Technology Group (WTG)

Civica Group Limited ("Civica"), a market leader in specialist systems and business process services that help organisations transform the way they work, has announced that Civica UK Limited, the company's wholly owned subsidiary, has acquired software consultancy and services group, Web Technology Group ("WTG").

Based in London, WTG specialises in planning, building and managing complex, secure web applications and digital services for government and other public sector clients. Customers include the Home Office, Ministry of Justice, Department of Health, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Government Digital Service, the College of Policing and the National Crime Agency.

The company is helping to progress the Government's digital strategy, including adoption of agile processes, it has an established position on G-Cloud and Digital Services frameworks and this month secured the largest contract award under the latter in a £9 million agreement from the Home Office.

WTG has a 20-year track record in developing, integrating and managing secure web applications which are used by more than 300,000 government employees, and has been delivering digital services for government since 2002. The company also provides a range of managed services to ensure ongoing effectiveness and performance for any cloud application.
