Chestertons Appoints Peter Goldsmith as Non-Executive Director

Chestertons has appointed Peter Goldsmith to join the company's Board as non-executive director in April this year, bringing a wealth of experience in the commercial property sector, both UK and overseas. A Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Peter has previously sat on the Board of leading property companies including Humberts Ltd and COBA Asset Management.

He comments: "I am delighted to join the Board of Chestertons at this very exciting time in the company's development. I believe that my 52 years in the property industry with a wide ranging involvement both in executive and non-executive capacity will enable me to play my part in promoting this outstanding global brand."

As part of his career, which started in the 1970s, Peter has successfully fulfilled the roles of Joint Partner and CEO across a number of flourishing property consultancies, where he contributed to the development of the company vision and strategy, performance monitoring and corporate governance. Peter also established a successful private real estate business that was floated on the London Stock Exchange.

In 2014, Peter launched Peter Goldsmith LLP, a new property consultancy practice, where he is offering advice to institutions, property companies and high-net-worth individuals. Peter has particularly strong links to the Far East, liaising with major institutional groups and his wider network of contacts stretches across the legal, accountancy, property, surveyor and architectural industries.
