Chambers and Cook Freight Ltd Get Involved in Pacific Rowing World Record Attempt

During their long and illustrious history Chambers and Cook Freight Ltd have been involved in several exciting charitable concerns and their latest venture is no exception.
The well known West Midlands freight company are in the process of delivering a very exciting package, namely a rowing boat that will be the vessel used in an amazing world record attempt.
Military Mine Action Specialist Charlie Martell will row single handed across the North Pacific, a journey of 6000 miles that will take 133 days.
Thanks to the kind participation of Chambers and Cook Freight Ltd Charlies state of the art rowing boat will be delivered to its starting point at Choshi Marina, Japan on 28th April, ready for Charlie to begin his incredible journey from the Far East all the way to the USA.
Charlie is an avid adventurer and has taken part in several endurance events including The Polar Challenge and The Ocean Fours Rowing Race, raising thousands of pounds for charity.
The next challenge will raise money for Give Them a Sporting Chance, a charity which works to help disabled people achieve their sporting dreams and Toe in the Water, a charity that offers competitive sailing for servicemen and women who have been injured in the line of duty.
Only one other person has ever completed an unsupported row across this stretch of the North Atlantic and Charlie plans to break a world record by being the first ever Brit to finish the challenge in just four months.
Chambers and Cook Freight Ltd are proud to have played such an integral part in the Pacific 2012 Challenge by delivering the state of the art rowing boat that will be Charlies home for the duration of the challenge to Japan.
