Celsys to sponsor prizes for WEBTOON’s Call to Action global contest - Supporting the discovery and nurturing of talented creators with Clip Studio Paint

Celsys will sponsor prizes for WEBTOON’s Call to Action contest, due to be held from June 1, 2022 to July 31, 2022.

The contest will focus on the action comic and shonen manga genre and aims to discover new action focused story creators. The top 3 winners of the contest will be offered the opportunity to debut their comics on WEBTOON ORIGINALS as well as receiving cash and other prizes.

Celsys will present the top 10 winners with dual-device 2-year plans for Clip Studio Paint EX, and up to 10 honorable mentions will receive single-device 1-year plans for Clip Studio Paint EX.

Contest Schedule

Entry period: June 1 - July 31, 2022

Result announcement: September 30, 2022 (to be confirmed)

Submission Rules

・Must be one complete episode, of at least 60 panels

・Must be fully colored

・Must contain scenes wherein at least two characters fight

・Dialogue must be written in English

Prizes

Winners of the top 3 places will be offered the opportunity to publish their stories as WEBTOON ORIGINALS, cash prizes, as well as a dual-device 2-year plan for Clip Studio Paint EX. The first-place winner will also have their work recreated as an up-to 10-minute animation at a later date.

1st place: $50,000 USD

2nd place: $30,000 USD

3rd place: $20,000 USD

4th to 10th place: $5,000 USD

Up to 10 honorable mentions will receive a single-device 1-year plan for Clip Studio Paint EX.
