40+ real ales, top music, fun for all the family - & it’s all for charity
The non-profit run festival is in its 5th year and is expanding rapidly, this year there is a real focus on the music. Fossil Collective have been announced as the headliner, fresh off the back of a well received debut album and sell out dates on an extensive UK tour. The full line up includes a particularly strong helping of Yorkshire’s finest emerging talent. Featuring performances from Jacobean Ruff, Wilful Missing, Gary Stewart Band, Young Believers, The Birdman Rallies, The Raisers and many more. See the full line-up on the festival website.
It’s not just about the music though. Tockwith Festival has its roots in beer so to speak, and started off originally as a small beer festival in the village hall. Onwards and upwards as they say, because after significant expansion over the past few years 2013 looks set to put Tockwith firmly on the map as one of the regions top festivals. This year over 40 real ales will be on offer, as well as ciders and other beverages to quench your thirst. And, the kids are more than welcome, in fact there are dedicated workshops for them throughout the day, from exploring their artistic ability to teaching them how to make their own music. These are included in the ticket price.
A limited amount of adult early bird tickets are currently available for the bargain price of £7.50 (full price £10). Children (aged 5-17 years) tickets are priced at £3, and those aged under 5 can attend free.
