AI music scandal, or why Pandovisia won't be playing in Davos any time soon

News provided by Pandovisia on Thursday 18th Jul 2024

Net artists Pandovisia announce the release of their new EP Uncanny Valley Social Club, which 'captures a portion of their contentious live performance during the 2024 World Economic Forum.'

The organisers of an artificial intelligence panel invited the band to demonstrate their pioneering use of AI and IOT gadgetry and play some new songs to a select audience at an afterparty event.

The set was met with awe and controversy.

While some hailed it as a daring exploration of the relationship between corporate autocracy, AI and art, others found it subversive and divisive. In the immediate aftermath of the gig, the organisers confirmed that Pandovisia will be banned from appearing at any future trade, corporate or politics event.

Fortunately, a portion of this anathematised concert is now available on all major streaming platforms. The four original numbers on this record are considered to be some of the last works written by a human hand, just like this press release.

I am not a robot.

* The Uncanny Valley Social Club EP marks the final chapter of the long-running Disinformation Tour post-truth project by the Serbian prog net art pop band Pandovisia. Everybody lies. For more disinformation, visit pandovisia.com
