A Place In The Sun Live At The NEC Birmingham 25th - 27th September Achieves Record Numbers
A Place in the Sun Live took place at the NEC in Birmingham over the weekend and attracted an incredible 8,231 overseas property hunters. This is a record-breaking attendance and means all three exhibitions of 2015 exceeded 2014 levels.
The show opened at 10am each day to queues of property hunters waiting to visit the 155 exhibitors and browse thousands of properties on sale from around the world.
Exhibitors were busy all day long chatting to visitors, answering questions and showcasing their properties in Spain, France, Portugal, Italy, Florida, Turkey, Cyprus, Bulgaria and more.
The Hub stage area was standing-room only with visitors eager to see Jonnie Irwin kick off the show on Friday.
The Hub remained packed throughout the weekend for the ever popular seminar sessions 'Where, what and how to buy in Spain' and 'How to plan your overseas property hunt'. Along with Jonnie, we also welcomed Jasmine Harman, Amanda Lamb and Laura Hamilton to The Hub where they discussed their top tips, answered questions and were available for a 1-2-1 chat at the signing sessions.
In the specialist country pavilions, people queued to hear from industry experts talking about anything from the Florida property market, where to live in France, what to consider when buying property in Italy and what it's like living in the Algarve.
In 2015 over three exhibitions, A Place in the Sun Live has attracted22,787 visitors - proof that confidence in purchasing overseas property continues to rise with a strong interest from Britons.
Andy Bridge, Managing Director, A Place in the Sun ltd said:'owning an overseas home is clearly back on the agenda for many people, for family holidays and in time for retirement. The strong pound and depressed prices mean you get a lot for your money in many popular destinations such as Spain, France, Portugal and Florida.'
There will be three exhibitions in 2016 - dates to be announced soon.
