A fragrant fundraiser for children with half a heart
Perfume sales enabled a Great Barr pharmacy to raise £500 for a charity that supports families when their child has only half a heart
Perfume sales and customer donations enabled a Great Barr pharmacy to raise £500 for a charity that supports families when their child has only half a heart.
Walkers Pharmacy in Moreton Avenue selected Little Hearts Matter as their chosen charity to mark their 10th year fundraising anniversary.
Malkit Singh, Pharmacist at Walkers Pharmacy, said: "Little Hearts Matter was brought to our attention by a customer. Seeing how beneficial the charity had been to her encouraged us to want to be able to give something back to a worthy cause.
"One of our founding principles is to give back to our community who supports us. Our fundraising efforts over the past ten years show how passionate we are. None of this would be possible without the support of our customers so for that we are extremely grateful."
Suzie Hutchinson, Chief Executive of Little Hearts Matter, said: "We are so grateful to the team at Walkers Pharmacy and their customers for so generously supporting the work of Little Hearts Matter. It was such an original initiative. The funds they have raised will be used to support the many families who come to the charity seeking support and a greater understanding of their children's critical condition. Thank you all so much."
