A Christmas song for a children's charity - can we make it to the Christmas Number 1 for Samuel?
I can't change what happend to Samuel but we can change what happens to many thousands of children this christmas
Samuel, my 9 year old son, started Samuel's Charity while fighting cancer in 2013. 5 months later he lost his battle. His charity is growing and helping thousands of seriously and terminally ill kids in thew UK.
I was interviewed on a podcast on the 5th December and the interview lead to Samuel's Charity being the recipient of all proceeds from the song.
The team at The Modern Mann podcast wrote, sang and produced the song with other Podcast presenters singing hence the 'group' being called the 'Podcast All-Stars'.
It is awful knowing how many children's wards have very little or no support for the most basic things for kids like pens, dolls or colouring books let alone games consoles, decent WiFi, good quality food, sofa beds for parents to sleep on, a happy, positive and calming environment... the list goes on.
Samuel knew how hard it is to deal with a serious and terminal disease. His last Christmas was in hospital. I am haunted by the memories but more so by the ones I will never have with Samuel.
So lets do something special for those kids going through hell over Christmas and beyond.
We need people to Download the song from iTunes, Google Play, Amazon or stream it constantly on Spotify or wherever you buy/stream music.
I can't change what happend to Samuel but we can change what happens to many thousands of children.
Thank you,
Martin, Samuel's dad and Trustee.
