With the Premier League transfer window closing on Monday evening, leading Online Estate Agent eMoov.co.uk has taken a look at what property could be purchased for the combined cost of the top 6 summer transfers.

The total reported summer transfer cost of Luis Suarez, Angel di Maria, Alexis Sanchez, Diego Costa, Luke Shaw and Romelu Lukaku is £260 million. For the cost of these Premier League stars, you could buy over 1,000 UK homes, a mega mansion, hotel and office block!

The largest transfer of the summer was Luis Suarez who moved to Spain from Liverpool. His reported £75 million transfer is the same as the total development budget of Bishop Gate in Coventry, where over 400 new homes are being built in the heart of the city.

Man United have broken the record to sign Angel di Maria from Real Madrid and his £60 million transfer could buy you a luxury new mega mansion in Surry. The £60 million Windlesham House will be set in 20 acres of Surrey countryside and will be one of the UK's largest new homes. The mega mansion include 15 bedrooms, ten reception rooms and garage with space for up to six cars and limousines.

Alexis Sanchez £35 million move to Arsenal is equal to Greenlakes Rise, a new 170 home developed in Bedford. Diego Costa's £30 transfer would buy you 300 new homes in a development in Stafford. Romelu Lukaku £28 million transfer to Everton is the same cost as 160 eco-homes being built in Trent Basin, Nottingham.

Luke Shaw completes the top 6 transfers after his £30 million move from Southampton to Manchester. This cost is the same as the Whitehall Plaza in Leeds, which is a ten storey office and hotel development.
