25 Crawford UK Offices to turn purple in support of pancreatic cancer awareness month

Crawford, the world’s largest independent provider of claims management, are turning 25 of their UK offices purple on the 29th November to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.

All employees will be wearing purple and will donate a minimum of £2 to the cause. The offices will be decorated with purple balloons, bunting and awareness posters and leaflets to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer.

They have decided to hold this event as Mike Patton, International Executive General Adjuster of Crawford is currently fighting pancreatic cancer and his colleagues want to show their support.

“Four months ago, I was diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas,” said Mike Patton. “I want to do whatever I can to raise awareness and provide help to those who need it most, particularly young families with children.”

Currently only 3% of those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survive beyond five years. Pancreatic Cancer Action is committed to working towards earlier diagnosis of the disease so that surgery, currently the only cure, is made available to the sufferer.
