Vodafone today has removed roaming charges for customers across 40 countries including popular holiday destinations such as Turkey, France, Germany and Spain.
The change will only be applicable to new or contracts which have been upgraded.
Outside of the 40 countries a fixed £5 per day charge will be applied including but not limited to United States, Russia, China and India.
Vodafone said that the increased rules on roaming charges have hurt companies and will undobuetly increase base plan prices.
Mid June will see the EU abolish roaming charges for all its member states in ruiling.
Three already provides free roaming in 42 countries for its customers.
